The modern day love story of Jacilyn and Jake began when they met back in college in 2011. After bonding over outdoor adventures and their faith, Jake knew she was the one and in the winter of 2016 he had a plan to propose. Knowing how much Jacilyn’s family means to her, he arranged for them to be at the surprise engagement at their favorite overlook near Lake Granby on a snowmobiling trip. Jacilyn’s little sister was not going to miss it for the world, even though she broke her leg the day before and had to wrap the boot in a trash bag to make the trek up the mountain, she was going to be there to witness Jake get on one knee.
With over a year till the wedding, they had ample time to plan and handmade a lot of the little details. Everyone took part in helping Jacilyn and Jake plan their special day. The bride’s father designed the elk
The happy couple got ready for their mountain side ceremony in adjacent log cabins and kept the tradition of not seeing each other before the wedding. Instead they each stayed with their bridal party and Jacilyn woke early with the girls to sit in the hot tub and watch the sun rise. For this adventurous girl, it was the perfect start to her wedding day. While she was getting ready, the cabin was packed with with friends and family that love her, she was completely surrounded by love.

While the puppy was not ready to be taken home yet, they will get to go pick out the new addition to their family in the middle of August when the puppy is 8 weeks old.
The groomsmen where handsome in their suits and ready to party. Beers in hand they were ready to get on the party bus and over to the ceremony site at the bottom of one of Vail’s ski runs with gorgeous views of the
A blessing by the bride’s sister, Anna, is a great way to be together and say hello, without taking a sneak peak.
Jacilyn and Jake were married in a sweet ceremony at the base of some of Colorado’s most beautiful mountains.
