Today we’re sharing a styled shoot at Sky Ranch Lodge in Sedona, Arizona. A styled shoot is a staged photoshoot where multiple wedding vendors collaborate to create a specific theme or aesthetic. They often use models as the couple, to showcase their skills and products through visually appealing imagery. It’s like a staged dream wedding, and we hope these pictures will inspire you.
Let’s start with the carefully curated personal effects. Sprigs of lilac surround a silver tray with the bride’s jewelry. Hints of lilac color are present in the postage stamp, ring box, invitations and candles. The groom’s shoes simply appear next to a cigar. The bride’s maroon heels have more personal effects featured in the shot. The maroon and lilac colors with the greens of the desert setting are unique and memorable.
Fitting in perfectly with the color palette, we have the wedding cake. The succulent decorations are perfect in keeping with the setting. We can see the maroon to match the shoes in the middle tier of the cake. The splashes of pink and gold that wind their way up the cake mix perfectly with the maroon in a stunning top tier. Also featured is the mobile prosecco and craft beer bar from Bubbles & Brews.
In a beautiful blush and white lace gown with a bold floral headpiece, our model poses with a hooped floral arrangement near the mobile bar. The color of the dress is a perfect choice to go with the bold headpiece, and again we see lots of pinks and purples.
Here we have a couple of solo shots near the mobile bar, taking advantage of the trees in the background.
A Beautifully Staged Celebration of Style
Here is the first look at our model bride and groom together. The styled shoot had several arches and settings for them to pose in. But these casual shots by the mobile bar were a great warm-up for what was to come.
Standing underneath a pale arch with blush fabric adornments, our models hold hands and recreate some of the first moments of a wedding.
Next, we see a circle altar with the cake hanging perfectly to be included in the photos, or covered by the models. Secluded among the trees and cacti, these photos perfectly showcase the colors of the wedding on the desert backdrop. Another circle altar allows the surreal landscape of Arizona to show beautifully in the background.
Of course no styled shoot would be complete without dining and reception inspiration. The pallet continues to inspire, sticking to the lilac, maroon and green theming.

Breathtaking Scenery at Sky Ranch Lodge in Sedona, AZ
This is the same circle arch as before, but really capturing the beauty of the location as the perfect backdrop for the lovely couple.
A second pair of models was available to us as well. They are perfectly suited to the theme as well, and can give us even more inspiration for bridal looks and floral options to fit into this setting.
With our last set of the model bride and groom, we focused on capturing them on this beautiful backdrop. Since we are in Sedona, AZ for this Sky Ranch Lodge Styled Shoot, we made sure to capture the unique landscape offered to us. While the scenery is breathtaking, this couple’s chemistry shines through and we were able to take this beautiful series of images.
