One of my favorite hobbies is prop hunting for the studio. This adorable airplane rocker made it all the way from Denver to our studio here in North Dakota. It turned out to be perfect for Jasper’s 4th birthday session focused on Vintage Airplanes. We have a large collection of props and backdrops available for studio sessions and love putting things together for our clients.
Pictured in an adorable t-shirt that says “This Pilot is 4”, Jasper had a great time posing in his leather jacket and aviator glasses. The backdrop is a lovely print of vintage frames on top of a map. A banner that says “Time Flies” hangs from the back of the airplanes.
We also took a few standing shots of Jasper celebrating in front of the Time Flies backdrop. Lights, puffy clouds and trunks set the scene and represent the journey Jasper is taking as he grows up.
And finally, here’s a familiar face to finish the vintage airplanes session. Jasper has been taking photos together with Kuiper, our office manager, for years. Kuiper is featured on the blog and in photos all the time, and comes with his own set of outfits and props. His Top Gun flight suit is custom made, and he’s actually wearing aviator sunglasses that were literally made for pet hamsters. You can tell these two love getting their pictures taken together.
We have so much fun capturing birthdays, and would love to shoot your special occasions.
