After months of subzero temperatures, we had a 50-degree day! I celebrated this glorious weather by shooting engagement photos at some of my favorite spots in western North Dakota. The spots were a muddy mess but you wouldn’t know it from these pics. I absolutely love living here and it was fun to shoot with this couple who love it here more than I do. Feast your eyes on this lovely western North Dakota engagement session, these images really capture their adventurous spirit. And just look at her cowgirl boots, they’re stunning!
The Fairview Lift Bridge on the North Dakota – Montana border is one of my favorite spots for photos. Images from the walking part of the bridge are beautiful but just check out the underside, hello, it’s amazing. Rustic engagement photos are exactly what Kimberly and Travis needed to match the theme of their North Dakota barn wedding.
Even without the spring blossoms and vibrant greens, I love this time of year for a session. The snow has melted, and the earthy tones really make the couple stand out.
Kimberly opted for a romantic boho lace dress with feather earrings for her engagement session outfit. It’s such a cute look for her and she finished it off with a squash blossom necklace.
We stopped in the little town of Fairview, Montana for some engagement photos with this old brick wall. I love all the old things up here in our neck of the woods, makes for ideal western North Dakota engagement session locations. We finished the session along the Missouri River at the Fort Buford Historic Site.
Travis and Kimberly are getting married this summer and we are so excited to be doing their wedding photos and video. They will hold the wedding at their private barn along the river under giant cottonwood trees. The big day can’t come soon enough. Of course, I will post highlights here after I deliver images to my clients.
Of all the photos taken, this series along the water is my favorite. North Dakota engagement photos never disappoint, we are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Be sure to follow on Facebook, where we post tons of photos and happening here at Riveted Photography.
