This “Wild One” is officially one! Manual came to our Williston photography studio with his mom, grandma, and adorable big sisters and he was all smiles (his eyes were on the smash cake). The whole week was about him; first birthday, baptism, and a very fun photoshoot. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak is one of the greatest children’s books of all time and the inspiration for the theme of this “Wild One’ cake smash. His cake smash session included a very cute set up with some vintage teddy bears, a baby-sized rocking chair, and his baptism outfit. After he took 5 seconds to read his book, he ran off and was just as cute as Max from the story. Mom had to chase him around a little bit, taking off even faster every time she tried but we got the shot.

His face is an exact representation of my face when I see cake.

There could not have been a more fitting theme for this little guy. He was fast, he was everywhere and he dunked his face in the cake. Our studio has many cake smash themes to choose from. Our session includes the use or props and the outfit, we have it all for you. All you have to do is provide baby! Once our storefront is open, we will be providing the cake as part of the session fee, unless the babe has allergies and you have to have something specially made.

If you’re looking for cake smash photos in Williston, we have big news, as we signed a lease on a storefront location near Williston State College. The studio is still under construction but we should be moving into our space in September 2021. Yesterday, I went to the studio and just pressed my face on the glass looking in at the construction progress. Contractors just finished running the electricity and now waiting for the drywall crew to start. The night before the session, Manuel’s mom sent me a text of the little baptism outfit and I was thrilled to have the perfect setup to match. I was going to refinish this rocking chair but I am really glad Jonathan said to leave it alone.

This little dude is cute, right? He was the best, such a happy baby. It was just a joy to take his photos and when mom texted me that they cried when they saw them, we couldn’t ask for more.
