This frilly Dollcake dress was the inspiration for this Fancy in the Badlands shoot at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I specialize in newborn and children’s portraits in North Dakota and the surrounding areas. Setting up elaborate scenes that reflect who the child is, is one of my favorite parts of the shoot. Additionally, I offer my clients a gorgeous client closet for little ladies exclusively from Dollcake.

McKayla looked absolutely darling in this white Dollcake frock with the matching headpiece. Her mother might even love Dollcake gowns more than me! Actually, yes she does. Her collection is to die for, with all the matching sashes and headpieces for every dress.
We love to capture these summer sun flares in the lens.
Have you ever thought that mud would be beautiful and make a lovely backdrop for such an elegant dress? The muddy rock cliffs of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park are just one of many treasures of the Great Plains. North Dakota is unlike any place I have ever been and I love being able to capture the magnificence of the Badlands as the setting for some pretty awesome portraits. Family portraits, engagements and child portraits are ideal subjects for this unique landscape.

The North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park has an overlook that was the perfect spot to set up such an oh so girly shoot. This pink chalk painted handmade bench was the icing on the cake at sunset. Frills, glitter, blush florals and North Dakota
