North Dakota Maternity Session

Winter is the perfect time believe it or not to have your family photos taken. While we had a mild winter, it was a gorgeous day and I love the muted colors of the surrounding landscape. This North Dakota maternity session is one of my favorites and the gown is one from my client closet.

Miriam is stunning in this fern gown with bishop sleeves and flowing skirt, so sexy! I had a fun afternoon dashing around Minot to capture these images for them. This suspended railroad bridge was the ideal location for a photoshoot. A hidden gem located on the outskirts of town.

These parent poses on the bridge structure are amazing. I’m so excited for them, they don’t know the gender of their baby. They wanted to be surprised. Jonathan and I want to be surprised also whenever we start a family, which will hopefully be soon. I need my own little model for all the mini sessions and for when cute props arrive. Like yesterday, tons of new props arrived, might just have to get the dog and do a session.

Their little girl was happy the entire session, always laughing and smiling.

Family Photos in Downtown Minot

Working as pregnancy photographer in Minot, it is my dedication to my clients to have some unique locations picked out based on what my clients expressed to me during their consultation. Miriam and Mike let me have creative control of the whole shoot. From styling her outfit to the locations specifically chosen to compliment her look. She is also a maternity photographer so she knows what is like to have an idea and create beauty with it.

Pregnancy is such is beautiful time in a woman’s life, it must be celebrated. There is a little miracle about to enter this world and there is nothing better than to capture these memories for this lovely family. My job as a photographer is to connect with my clients. I know Miriam was feeling so beautiful because she nailed it with posing, the strong winds that day were in our favor for some dramatic solo shots of her.

We love Minot, North Dakota for photo shoots anytime of the year. The Magic City is truly lives up to its name. The railroad museum, the charming downtown with the Magic Alley and surrounding community parks just makes it a unique setting for a photo shoot. Not to mention we love the two drive-thru Starbucks.
