A lovely afternoon in downtown Denver with Elly and Erik for their urban Denver engagement session. We went all over the the Mile High City, capturing fun moments. The Denver Performing Arts Complex has such beautiful architecture and makes for the perfect backdrop. The engagement session is perfect for a couple things, like getting to know your photographer and just getting comfortable with being photographed. No one naturally just does these poses so it helps a lot to have some practice before the big day. Feeling comfortable and relaxed for you photo shoot is our number one goal and makes for the best photos.

Engagement sessions in Denver is one of my favorite places to shoot. There is so much to offer in terms of backdrops and settings. This urban Denver engagement session was one of my favorites because I love that we were able to walk to all the locations. Within a few blocks there is so much to shoot. Love being from Denver.
Elly’s chic outfit with those boots is so cute. Erik’s boots are the other hand look like they came from his military uniform. They sure did. Elly and Erik met shortly before he left on deployment and he popped the question downtown Denver over dinner a few months after returning home.

We can’t wait for their wedding at the Tapestry House later this year. A Colorado fall wedding is the best time of year to get married. We are so excited to be a part of their special day.
