This beautiful end of summer family portrait session was shot just outside of Williston, North Dakota on a driftwood beach along the Missouri River. It was picture perfect for a boho family portrait session. With two littles and one on the way, Megan and Mike have the cutest little gang. This hybrid maternity family shoot before welcoming their little guy in a couple weeks is one of my favorite sessions of the summer.

While we are brand new in the area and spending lots of time exploring northwestern North Dakota, we are loving it here and almost fully booked for the fall. There are many great places to shoot but we loved this boho beach set up we did for this beautiful family. The macrame wall art was handmade in Williston, North Dakota and was the perfect accent for this family portrait session.

Outdoor Maternity Photo Shoot
As a pregnancy photographer in Williston, capturing these special moments for the mother and father are my favorite. I got to sneak them off for a few snaps to document their pregnancy, but one eye constantly on the kiddos, who were sword fighting with the driftwood and throwing rocks in the river. Their carefree beach worthy attire was perfect for a hot summer evening in North Dakota. The Missouri River was gorgeous with white capped waves and this beautiful momma’s hair was blowing in the wind. Lewis and Clark State Park has easily become one of my favorite places for Williston family photos.
