Williston Wedding | Kimberly & Travis

Today we’re showcasing a wedding here in Williston, ND. If you are a regular reader of the blog, you might remember Kimberly and Travis from their gorgeous Western North Dakota Engagement Session.

Did you know Riveted Photography also does videography? Check out this amazing video capturing the fun of Travis and Kimberly’s special day.

It’s so much fun to capture pictures AND video of a special event.

Let’s start by looking at the bridal effects. There were so many personalized touches in Kimberly’s effects. Her jean jacket and bridal hanger were personalized, and she plenty of “something blue”. Some brides need to be reminded to wear their wedding shoes around the house to break them in before the big day, but not Kimberly. She made the personal choice to wear her favorite pair of boots, already broken in!

Travis’ grooms effects are rustic and understated. Like his bride, Travis also chose to get married in boots. The floral tie matches the purple of his feather boutonniere and his black cufflinks match his ring. An Iridescent pocket knife complete the collection, adding some shine and fun.

Getting Ready with the Bride and Groom

Here we see Kimberly with her bridesmaids and loved ones in front of all of her personal effects. It’s almost time to get ready!

While Kimberly was getting ready with the girls, her parents were getting their vintage car ready for the ceremony. Kimberly and Travis’s wedding day falls on their anniversary, so they will get to celebrate together for years and years to come!

Here we see Travis and his groomsmen hanging out before getting ready for the big event.

Travis and Kimberly’s RV was parked next to the house and served as the Groomsmen’s suite.

Here we see all of the groomsmen looking handsome with Travis in the driver’s seat of his Future Father In Law’s car. What a beautiful portrait on this prairie landscape.

Kimberly is glowing in her bridal makeup. Natasha’s Canvas in Williston ND did Kimberly’s make-up for this special day.

If you’ve never seen a turkey as an honorary groomsman, now you have! Kimberly gingerly attaches a little blue bowtie to the turkey.

More shots of the bridal party with their hair and make-up done. The pastel colors of their robes are beautiful against the greens of the landscape.

Continuing the theme of wearing cowboy boots, the flower girl poses with Kimberly in her own pair of little black cowboy boots.

Kimberly’s bouquet was personalized and suited to the theme, featuring some of her favorite florals and even some pheasant feathers.

Kimberly was able to get ready in her own home with her mother and bridesmaids. As one of the final touches, Kimberly received a borrowed handkerchief from her mother and tied it onto her boots. It was almost time for first looks

First Look with Father of the Bride

Kimberly and her Father shared a heartfelt first look in front of his treasured Chevy Chevelle, which his wife would soon be using to escort Kimberly to the ceremony.

Bride & Groom First Look

Travis was all smiles and nearly speechless when he first saw Kimberly as his bride.

It was almost time for the ceremony, but we were able to take these beautiful pictures of some dips and kisses!

Backyard Ceremony

The ceremony space was beautifully acquainted with blues and purples. The perfect space for an intimate backyard wedding.

Kimberly’s mother escorted her to the ceremony in the vintage car. She was met by Kimberly’s father who opened the door and escorted his daughter down the aisle. Kimberly’s father gave both Kimberly and Travis a hug before suavely returning back to his seat in his sunglasses.

The ceremony was intimate, beautiful and filled with smiles.

After being pronounced husband and wife, Travis couldn’t resist dipping Kimberly once more at the end of the aisle. They were married!

The bridal party is all smiles with the newlyweds.

Bride & Groom Formals

In addition to the vintage Chevy, Kimberly’s dog Bonnie was also a special guest in the bridal portraits, adorned with a blue bow. These photos tell a beautiful story of Travis escorting his bride to the wedding reception.

We also took some individual portraits with the bride and groom. Travis looks handsome with one hand in his pocket and the other on the hood of the car, while Kimberly poses wistfully with her bouquet.

And of course, we couldn’t let them go to the reception without a picture of them standing boots together.

Williston Wedding | White Tent Wedding Reception

A friend of the bride and groom owned this tent, which they set up in the yard to act as an instant wedding venue. Lights and florals continue to support the theming of the day. With speeches and champagne, it was time to celebrate the happy couple.

The couple opted for a smaller wedding cake with cupcakes available for guests. The cake sticks to the blue and purple color scheme.

Kimberly and Travis playfully fed each other their first piece of the wedding cake.

They continued to be all smiles during their first dance as husband and wife, underneath the lights of the canopy.

Kimberly shared a joyful dance with her father, and Travis with his mother.

Then everyone seemed to join in. The mother and father of the bride can be seen sharing a dance on their own anniversary.

Kimberly and Travis stepped away from the action for a brief moment of respite in front of their tractor.

The celebration kept going with friends, family and furry friends enjoying time to dance under the tent.

Especially in an outdoor summer wedding here in Williston, it’s common for brides and grooms to change into reception clothes. Kimberly appears in an above-the-knee lace dress and Travis has decided to lose the suit vest and tie.

The Williston Wedding party continued well into the night, celebrating the happy couple, their friends, and their family. Thank you so much to Kimberly and Travis for choosing us to capture your special day. We wish you all the best.

xo, Jannelle and Jonathan.
